Plymouth History Festival

The Plymouth History Festival for 2023 will take place during the first two weeks of October, rather than May, for the first time. Please keep an eye on The Box website for more details. (Although The Box is not officially running the Festival we will be helping publicise events – hopefully in due course a separate website will be established.)

The Local Studies Day has been set as Saturday, 7 October 2023 and will take place in the Roland Levinsky Building, Plymouth, 10:00 – 16:00.

More details to follow.

This year marks the 300th Anniversary of Sir Joshua Reynolds’ birth in Plympton St Maurice. Our displays will include archives and objects in The Box collections which shed light on the art on display, so there will be much for history-lovers to enjoy.
