Exbourne Local History Group

Our small but thriving Local History Group, holds meetings on the third Tuesday of each month, except August. Meetings take place at 19:30, in Exbourne Village Hall – although timings and dates may occasionally vary.

The aim of the group is to learn more about of the history of the people, buildings, businesses, pastimes and traditions of the village of Exbourne and also about the surrounding area and to share this information through meetings, publications, exhibitions, our website and photographic archive.

There is a programme of guest speakers, for meetings throughout the year.

There is also a small group of skilled and dedicated researchers, who have spent a great deal of time and effort gathering information about the history of Exbourne. This information is held in the Exbourne Local History Group Archive.

Annual Membership is £15.00 and includes tea or coffee and biscuits at each meeting. Visitors £3.00.

Details of the annual programme can be found on our website.
