This mill has been identified as situated in Chagford. This is a provisional identification pending a full report by a member of Chagford History Society, but there is little doubt that it is correct.
This interesting c1900 photo from the Chagford Archive would suggest that parts of Lower Factory, Chagford, were already given over to accommodation at the turn of the century. The grant aided work at the mill, funded by the 1926 Act, thus involved renovation as well as conversion.
