The Grecian Voices Project has been set up by the Exeter City Football Club Supporters Trust with financial support from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The aims of the project include recording people's memories of players and fans. These will not only be incorporated into a dedicated website, but also form part of a permanent database available at the Devon Record Office to the public and to researchers. It is also hoped to produce a community film about the Exeter City Football Club and its fans, and that a permanent exhibition can be set up in the city. If you have any interesting memories or artefacts, or require further information, the project coordinator, Andy Fuller (andy.fuller@exetercityfc.co.uk), will be delighted to hear from you.
Andy has received a scan of the programme for an American Football game played at Exeter City’s St James Park in January 1945 between teams supplied by the US Navy. He would like to hear from any North American visitors to this website who remember the event or can provide information on it.
