Membership of the Society is open to anyone interested in Devon history.
Membership is by subscription, the rates per annum being £10 for individual members, £15 for family membership, £10 for affiliated societies, and £15 for corporate membership. Life membership is available for £100. Affiliated local history societies and other relevant organisations are welcome to use the website to publicise their events.

Note: The 2011 Annual General Meeting agreed an increase in membership fees from May 2012. The rates will then be: Individual £15.00, Family £22.50, Affiliated Societies £15.00, Corporate Members £22.50, Life Members £150.00.
